That’s why I was thrilled when I was sent some awesome goodies from this amazing brand out of Montreal, Trust Fund Beauty. The founder, Samara Granofsky is 30 years old and created this line of “5-free” nail lacquers (no formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate, toluene or camphor). Most of us forget how incredibly toxic nail polish can be! I know I do. True to trust fund theme, the shades come with names such as, “Prenup, Big-Spender, and Do You Know Who My Father Is?” I mean, I was getting a bit bored of Lincoln Park After Dark.
Apart from being a young, savvy, entrepreneur, Granofsky was inspired to create her polish line when her mother was going through chemotherapy and was in search of a polish which was non-toxic. Years later, Trust Fund Beauty was born! One thing I love is the packaging of the polish. They come in these beautiful pinterest worthy boxes – see below, and the bottles look absolutely stunning on your beauty cabinet, or a birds eye instagram.
how cute are these polishes! and the boxes they come in too!
So! I decided to give these awesome colors a try, obviously as soon as possible. How could I resist!? And the ultimate test of polish – a pedicure in the summer. I’m always stubbing my toes in flip flops, or wearing open toed heels when I go out in the summer so testing out a polish on my feet seemed the best idea. I decided to try out this absolutely stunning coral color – big spender. The color went on flawlessly, and was not too runny or even hard to apply. I could feel that the polish wasn’t thick and heavy like the common department store brands, which I loved and made the application even more seamless. Apart from that the color was to die for and matched perfectly with my tan!

Me trying out Big spender on ma toes
I was so happy with how my toes looked with this polish on, and honestly I’ve been out a few times since then, and there has not been one chip. This is from the girl that managed to chip a shelac pedicure yes they do exist. What I’m trying to say is that at $15 a bottle, a non-toxic, long-lasting, and stunning polish color is totes worth it.
Trust Fund Beauty also has this really neat nail polish subscription service, which is perfect for the nail polish junkie in your life. I have friends who have set up those little plastic cabinets in their washroom similar to the salon so trust me, they do exist! You get 2 polishes a month (and you get to choose one of them!) and free shipping! You will also receive discount codes, little goodies and exclusive offers during your subscription time. Every month you will receive an email and then have 5 days to pick your colour. Then TFB will pick one for you. On the 1st business day of every month your package will be shipped and you will receive your two stunning shades! They also have these super cute sample trios for $10.00, which is a great way to test out the colors before you commit to one.
