Digital Dreams 101 - What you NEED to know!

Digital Dreams 101 - What you NEED to know!

Yes! All of you Torontonians are super excited to come to Digital Dreams this weekend (June 28th and June 29th) at Ontario Place! Luckily I got the chance to go and check out the grounds - to rid you of that overwhelming anxiety that you get walking towards the festival gates (you know EXACTLY what I mean!)

A few months ago, I let you guys know how I’m going to be covering the festival – amazing streetstyle, interviews with the djs, what to bring, and now that I’ve officially checked out the grounds here is what you need to know!

#1 This is an entirely cashless festival

Yup! You heard it here first, more of the details are available on the Digital Dreams website – herebut basically you will exchange your ticket for a wristband once you get to the festival, and you will be able to load up your wristbands at the charging stations like the one I’m at below! Holla for your dream dollas honey boo boo!

#2 Remember to bring your ID!
You MUST have valid photo ID for all Will Call ticket pick-up including Ticketmaster, Wantickets, Media & Guest List tickets.
Hard copy tickets, print at home tickets and Wanticket.com tickets will cannot be exchanged for a wristband until day of festival. Wantickets.com, Guestlist and Media tickets may be picked up on day of festival ONLY.
Wristbands will be applied by the box office staff to ensure correct fit, therefore, all ticket holders must be present to have their wristband put on. NO wristbands will be given out for ticket holders who are not present at time of pick up.

#3 You want to be in the VIP – a.k.a. Cloud 9
This year the VIP experience is really taken to a whole new level, even to the point that it’s not even being called VIP anymore, it’s called Cloud 9! I got to go check out the heavenly comforts of the Cloud 9 lounge and it was awesome, plush seating, decadent bar service, gourmet food options (hint hint Food Dudes) and even some angels to party with too. You even have your own exclusive Cloud 9 festival entrance as well as unlimited in and out festival privileges until 8PM daily. You’ll even have access to a concierge who can book you a hotel, get a limo, get your makeup touched up, even book a blowdry! Oh and you’ll also have a private restroom #ultimatewin.

#4  There is one new stage and it’s absolutely beautiful! #FantasyLand
On my tour I also got to go check out one of the most stunning stages, the Fantasy Land stage which is new to Digital Dreams this year. If you go just behind Echo Beach close to the waterfront, you’ll see this stunning stage with the most picturesque view. This is where artists like Green Velvet, Art Department and Nitin will be playing.

#5 The Main Stage has moved, and it’s unlike anything you’ve seen before
Walking onto the grounds with no-one there was a feat in and of itself. The sheer size of the screens, and the lighting (which was created by the same lighting designer as EDC Vegas) really transports you out of Toronto and into the festival mode. The stage is finally what has brought Digital Dreams into one of North America’s largest EDM music festivals.
